Adam Parkinson
I'm a Developer
Welcome
Adam Parkinson: Developer, Sound Artist and Creative Coder
I am a developer, sound artist and creative coder based in London. I also work as a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Creative Technologies at London South Bank University and do teaching and consultancy for other Higher Education Institutions. Previously, I was a researcher in the Department of Computing at Goldsmiths, with a research portfolio including haptics, interaction design, physical computing and music HCI.
I collaborate with artists to create immersive and interactive sound works. I've worked on high-profile, public-facing projects for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (with Nick Knight / A New Plane), Nike and MyTheresa.
I make music under the name Dane Law, programming audio systems to create folk-like guitar patterns.
I've recently been strengthening my skills as a developer, undertaking a Full-Stack Developer Traineeship with IT Career Switch including courses in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python and React. I love building interactive web apps and I am looking for more work as a developer. You can find some of my portfolio pieces on this site.
My other passions include running ultra marathons, vegetarian cooking and being a dad.
